The session is dedicated to presenting the activities of student research groups engaged in architecture, urban planning, and the broader shaping of the built environment. Participants will present their ongoing research and design projects addressing issues of spatial design, spatial analysis, and the search for innovative responses to contemporary challenges of the urban environment.

The presented initiatives demonstrate the interdisciplinary character of student work, bringing together various aspects of architectural practice and research – from design at both micro and macro scales, through studies on spatial perception and use, the application of new educational tools and technologies, to design experimentation and alternative methods of analysing and presenting urban phenomena.

The aim of the session is to demonstrate how students can actively participate in research and design experimentation already during their studies, developing analytical and design skills while fostering critical thinking about space. The session also provides a platform for the exchange of ideas, the presentation of experimental working methods, and the establishment of collaboration between emerging researchers and designers. It highlights the important role of student initiatives in advancing the discussion on the future of architecture and cities, as well as in shaping a new generation of architects, researchers, and creators of space.
