
Multiconference archiDREAM Silesia 2026, 17-18.04.2026
The archiDREAM Silesia 2026 Multiconference is an international event dedicated to scientific discussion on key aspects of contemporary architecture and urban development, taking into account perspectives from other disciplines that help address current spatial challenges (such as fine arts, spatial management, environmental psychology, ergonomics, and sociology).
Previous editions of the event took place in 2019, 2022, and 2025 in Gliwice, bringing together a wide international community of participants. The outcomes of these conferences have been published in scientific monographs by the Silesian University of Technology Press (link to publication 2019 2022).
Main objectives of the conference:
- Presentation of research results, inspiration, and motivation for development – showcasing new perspectives in conducting interdisciplinary research, addressing current urban issues that are crucial for the development of sustainable urban ecosystems.
- Integration of the academic community with the socio-economic environment – creating networks of cooperation between researchers, practitioners, and representatives of the design industry; defining effective methods for solving urban problems in collaboration with various stakeholder groups.
- Promotion of innovation – applying research results in design practice, identifying creative methods and tools that inspire the development of innovative, ecological, inclusive, and health-oriented solutions, while also incorporating local cultural heritage into urban space.
- Fostering interdisciplinary partnerships – encouraging collaboration and joint efforts to tackle research challenges.
As a part of the event, the following activities are planned:
- Scientific sessions within the framework of seven thematic conferences,
- Discussion panels with invited experts and scholars,
- Doctoral scientific and poster session under the patronage of the Architecture and Urban Planning Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Katowice Branch,
- Poster sessions,
- Networking workshops,
- Exhibitions of completed research, design, and artistic works,
- Collaboration zone (working sessions for research teams).
